What the webview breaks

Sandboxed cookies, missing Apple Pay / Google Pay, blocked pop-ups, and downloads that never start. A Gumroad or Shopify checkout that works in Chrome can fail in Instagram with no error the creator sees.

Adfluence is tested on devices in Instagram and TikTok webviews. Card forms, wallets when supported, and file delivery on the success page are the contract.

Apple Pay and Google Pay

They appear above the card form when Stripe and the device allow them. They will not appear on every iPhone in every webview version. Cards remain the fallback. India UPI is Razorpay, not Apple Pay.

Files in the webview

Delivery on the confirmation page matters more here than in desktop Chrome. If the only copy is email, the buyer is still inside Instagram, the mail app is not, and the refund clock starts.

Why doesn’t Apple Pay show in Instagram?

Instagram’s webview often hides wallet buttons. Adfluence tests stores in that webview. Apple Pay and Google Pay appear when the device and your Stripe account support them — they are not guaranteed on every phone.

Should I force “Open in Safari”?

Some link tools bounce every tap out of Instagram. That recovers wallets and loses people. Adfluence completes checkout in the webview instead of escaping it.
