01
Instagram is not the checkout
Meta does not process digital downloads, courses, or coaching in Instagram Shop. The working model is link-based: Reels and carousels create demand; the bio URL takes payment. If that URL is a list of outbound buttons, the buyer still has to find the product on Gumroad, Stan, or a Google Drive folder.
A store-in-bio is a shop at that URL. Catalogue, price, and checkout sit on one page. Adfluence publishes at adfl.to/@yourhandle. Custom domains are not available.
02
Use the bio as the storefront
Grid posts describe the offer. The caption should name the file, the price, and that checkout is in the bio — not only “link in bio”. Stories with a link sticker can point at the same store. Highlights titled Shop or Presets reduce hunting.
Put one URL in the website field. Do not rotate it per campaign if you can add UTM or ?n=reel-name on the same host; Adfluence attributes visits and sales to the referring post when that parameter is present.
03
Checkout in the in-app browser
Most taps open Instagram’s webview. Wallets, autofill, and downloads fail on storefronts that assume Safari. Adfluence is tested in Instagram and TikTok webviews every release. Apple Pay and Google Pay render when the device and your Stripe account support them.
India buyers pay with Razorpay: UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), QR, netbanking, and cards. PayPal covers markets Stripe does not. The customer always pays your connected account. Adfluence does not hold funds.
04
Deliver on the confirmation page
Purchased files are available on success, not only in email. Email is a receipt and a library backup. “Check your spam folder” is the most common dispute reason in this category. Courses unlock embedded lessons after payment. Calls show the booking on the product’s availability.
05
Product types
Digital files: presets, PDFs, LUTs, Notion and Canva templates, sample packs. Bundles for several files at one price. Courses via YouTube, Vimeo, or Loom — Adfluence does not host or encode video. Coaching and session packs. Tickets, tips, webinars, cohorts, and tracked free links.
Memberships and paid newsletters are not available. Subscriber billing cannot be imported from Stan, Patreon, or Whop.
06
Settlement and fees
Connect Stripe, Razorpay, or PayPal in Settings → Get paid. API keys are never requested. Starter is free with a 5% platform fee and no monthly cap on that percentage. Pro is a monthly subscription with 0% of sales. Card and UPI processing fees are billed by the provider.
Payout timing is the provider’s. Adfluence cannot accelerate Stripe or Razorpay payouts, and cannot restore a suspended merchant account.
07
What to publish first
One paid file with a cover image, a price, and a two-line description outperforms an empty theme. Add a free sample if you capture emails. Then a bundle. Then a call. The store should look finished in the first viewport of a phone — that is the Instagram traffic you actually get.
