FAQs
Frequently asked questions
- Is Adfluence a payment processor?
- No. You connect Stripe, Razorpay, or PayPal. Buyers pay that account. Adfluence is software. We are not the merchant of record and we do not hold funds.
- Is this another Linktree?
- A link list sends people away. A store-in-bio is the shop: products, price, checkout, and delivery on one page at adfl.to/@yourhandle.
- Do I need a card to start?
- No. Starter is free. A card is only for Pro or Studio, and only if you choose them.
- Is my store live as soon as I sign up?
- No. It stays a draft until you publish from Store.
- Where do I edit the store?
- Studio → Store. That is the builder. Home is for what to do next. Products is the catalogue.
- Why can’t I put a paid product live?
- A paid product waits until you connect Stripe, Razorpay, or PayPal, and until the store currency matches that account. Save it as a draft and connect from Get paid.
- Can I unpublish?
- Yes. Store has the same control. The handle stays yours. Old links still reach you if you change the handle later.
- Should I use a Linktree and put Adfluence on it?
- You can, but every extra tap loses sales. The website field should be the store. Highlights can still point at the same URL.
- Does the buyer leave Instagram?
- Instagram opens the bio in its in-app browser. They pay there. They do not need a second app for the file.
- Why doesn’t Apple Pay show in Instagram?
- Wallets need a supporting device, a Stripe account that can take them, and a webview that allows them. If canMakePayment is false, we hide the button rather than show a dead one.
- Will my store look like everyone else's?
- Templates are a starting point. Colour, type, and imagery can be changed independently.
- Can someone else take my old handle?
- No. Previous handles remain reserved.
- Can I send the draft to a friend?
- Draft stores are not publicly accessible. Publish first, then share adfl.to/@yourhandle.
- Where do I edit a course vs a file?
- Same list, same editor. Open the product. The delivery block is lessons for a course and files for a download.
- Can I sell Lightroom presets on Instagram?
- Yes. Use Digital file, upload the .xmp, DNG, or zip, put adfl.to/@yourhandle in the bio. They download on the confirmation page.
- Is a bundle the same as a session pack?
- No. A bundle is several products at one price. A session pack is several calls bought up front.
- Do you host my course video?
- No. Paste an unlisted YouTube, Vimeo, or Loom link. We do not encode, store, or transcode video.
- Are there certificates?
- Not yet. Do not promise a certificate from Adfluence.
- Where do I see who booked?
- Sales lists the buyers. Appointments lists dated products — cohorts, webinars, tickets, calls.
- Do you host the webinar?
- No. You paste the session link. We take payment and show the date. Zoom, Meet, or YouTube Live stay with you.
- Do I need Calendly?
- No. Set availability on the product. Booked times appear under Appointments.
- Is this a subscription?
- No. They pay once for a count of sessions. Memberships are not available.
- Where do I see the brief?
- On the sale in Sales.
- Will Adfluence add them to Discord?
- No. After payment they get the join link you pasted. You remain the admin.
- Do you scan tickets at the door?
- No. Sales is your list. Bring a spreadsheet if the venue needs one — export from Settings.
- Is this Linktree?
- It is one row on your store, next to paid products. The store is still the shop.
- Do you take 5% on tips on Starter?
- Yes. Starter is 5% of what you sell, including tips. Pro is 0% of sales.
- Do you ship for me?
- No. You post it. We do not run carriers, zones, or returns. There are no SKUs.
- What if I cannot take cards yet?
- Request and cash on delivery still work. Pay now needs a connected account that can charge.
- Do I have to connect Instagram?
- No. Until our Instagram app is approved, add photos from your camera roll. Connect later if you want posts pulled in.
- Why can’t I connect yet?
- Meta has to approve the app. The note on Shop the Grid is the status. Use camera roll in the meantime — the products are real.
- Do I need a new Stripe account?
- No. Use the one you already have, as long as it can take charges. We never ask you to paste API keys.
- Will the buyer see Adfluence on the statement?
- They should see your business name — the Stripe account in your name. Not ours.
- Do I need GSTIN?
- Not to start. Personal PAN and a savings account are enough to open Razorpay in many cases. GST comes later if your accountant says so.
- Is this a Razorpay Payment Link?
- No. A Payment Link is one bill. A store-in-bio is a catalogue with delivery and a library.
- Can I use PayPal and Stripe together?
- Connect the account that matches where you sell. Currency has to match the store. Get paid is the place that says if they disagree.
- Who is the merchant of record?
- You are, through Stripe, Razorpay, or PayPal. Adfluence is software.
- Can you speed up my payout?
- No. Your provider sets that. We cannot un-freeze an account either.
- Can buyers pay in their own currency?
- Product prices are in the store’s settlement currency. Adfluence does not run Adaptive Pricing or a conversion step at checkout.
- Where are my customers?
- Each sale includes the buyer. Email captures who have not purchased appear under On your list on the same page.
- What if they dispute with the bank?
- A chargeback hides the file until Stripe decides. If you lose, Studio refunds the sale too. The refunds policy is /legal/refunds.
- Where do I set my hours?
- On the 1-on-1 or pack product — not on Appointments. Appointments is what got booked.
- Why is a sale unattributed?
- The tap came without a post name. Add ?n=reel-title or a UTM on the same adfl.to URL instead of rotating the bio to a new host.
- Can I import from Stan or Gumroad?
- You rebuild products in the editor. Spreadsheet import and moving paying subscribers without a new card are not available.
- Do I need Pro to earn?
- No. Starter can earn. Commission is on our take, not on a paid plan you must buy first.
- When does my friend get Pro?
- One month of Pro entitlements after they connect a payment account and publish a live product. Empty signups do not unlock it.
- Do signups pay me?
- No. They connect payments and publish a live product first. That is when commission and their Pro month can start.
- What are the platform fees?
- 5% on Starter, no monthly cap. 0% of sales on Pro and Studio. Card and UPI fees are Stripe, Razorpay, or PayPal’s.
- Can I change plans later?
- Yes. Settings → Billing. If a Pro payment fails, the store can stay up a few days, then go offline until you update the method. Buyers keep access to what they already paid for.
- Will Adfluence answer my buyers?
- We cannot open their file or your Stripe account for them. Point them at you. We help you, the creator, at support@adfluence.ai.
- Do you delete Stripe too?
- No. That account is yours. Disconnect in Get paid if you want Adfluence off it. Closing here takes the storefront down.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Not yet. The store is adfl.to/@yourhandle. A custom domain is on the list; you cannot switch it on today.
- I am in Instagram and the download failed
- Open the delivery email on the same phone. The library link is the backup. If that fails, write the creator with the order reference — they can see the sale.
- Can Adfluence refund me?
- Only the creator’s payment account can issue a refund. Contact the creator. If that fails, use your card issuer’s dispute process.
